Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guests, particularly in a hotel environment. The Laundry Attendant will work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure efficient operations.
Duties
- Launder linens, towels, and garments using appropriate washing techniques and detergents.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and pressing machines.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for distribution to various departments.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specialty items.
- Inspect items for stains or damage prior to laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Skills
- Proficient in laundering techniques and understanding of fabric care labels.
- Experience with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleaning results.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills to keep the laundry area tidy and efficient.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
