What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Country Inns & Suites Milwaukee Airport?
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for common areas, meeting space, fitness center, pool area, and hotel guest room ongoing and preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Engineer also assists in repairs and maintenance of all hotel equipment.
Job Duties:
- Respond to all guests requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Shampoo carpet, benches, and chairs
- Learn how to test the pool system.
- Fix any maintenance ticket written up by housekeeping or guest complaints
- Maintain all mechanical areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Inspect public areas daily for any issues.
- Repairs may include but are not limited to plumbing, kitchen, mechanical, laundry, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover & sheetrock repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.
- Maintain the rooms preventative maintenance program and consistently keep updated records on file.
Requirements:
- Standing and walking frequently for up to entire shift
- Being able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds or more for the purpose of installing and maintaining equipment, furniture and fixtures, and for retrieving and storing supplies.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English fluently.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Hotel or apartment experience preferred.
