What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Country Junction Farm & Feed?
Hey there! Are you a hard worker who loves retail, animals, and a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a part-time retail associate to join our small but mighty team at Country Junction Farm & Feed in Otis Orchards, WA!
With the store being for sale and our team shifting, we need an extra set of hands to keep things running smoothly—especially during our busiest season of the year: Chick Season! If you enjoy helping customers, don’t mind lifting heavy feed bags, and maybe even have forklift experience (a big bonus!), we’d love to meet you.
What’s the Job?
- Assisting customers with farm, pet, and livestock-related questions
- Stocking inventory, including lifting and stacking 50 lb feed bags multiple times a day
- Running the register and handling cash transactions
- Keeping the store clean, organized, and welcoming
- Working Saturdays is REQUIRED—Saturdays are chick pick-up days, and we need all hands on deck!
- (Bonus points if you can drive a forklift!)
What We’re Looking For:
- Part-time availability (~22-25 hours per week)
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings (mandatory during chick season!)
- Reliable transportation to get to work
- Retail experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Comfort with computers and cash registers is a bonus
- Animal knowledge is fantastic, but if you’re eager to learn, we’ll teach you
- Forklift experience? Even better!
