Country Kids Childcare Center provides quality to care to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. We pride ourselves on building relationships with families while providing a safe, fun, educational environment for all children.

Country Kids Childcare Center in Big Flats, NY is growing and in need of Teaching Assistants to grow with them.

MINIMUM Requirements for position

~Clean, valid Driver's License and transportation

~Minimum of High School Diploma (preference to those with CDA, Associates in Childhood Education or working towards completion of degree)

~Undergo and PASS both federal and state background checks

~Have a TB test and physical to be cleared to work with children

Summary of Duties:

Directly responsible for following OCFS regulations.

Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the daily activities in assigned classroom.

Responsible for working with other staff to provide a safe and enriching program for children.

Working Conditions:

Most work performed indoors in a classroom. However, daily outdoor activities are required and will be expected, though not in severely hot or cold weather.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry children weighing up to 35 pounds

Ability to stand, sit and move around while supervising children.

Ability to move quickly to respond to a safety concern or child's needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

Actively participate in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for the program.

Knowledgeable of child development and able to adapt to changes.

Clearly communicates with fellow staff members, children and parents.

Prepares plans, materials and equipment for the daily work of the program.

Implement and follow OCFS regulations such as record keeping, planning, safety, nutrition, etc.

Willing to learn, grow and receive feedback with an open attitude.

Promotes the Center and program within the community while being a POSITIVE role model for others in the profession.

This Job Is:

Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
