Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Sales and Event Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for driving event sales, managing the full client experience from initial inquiry through event execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, memorable events. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, relationship builder, and problem solver with a passion for events and customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Sales and Business Development:
- Proactively source and convert leads to generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct site tours and client meetings to promote event spaces and services.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to client needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, social, and repeat clients.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients from booking through post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements.
- Develop detailed event orders, timelines, floor plans, and run-of-show documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams (catering, operations, AV, etc.) and external vendors.
- Manage on-site event execution, ensuring all elements are delivered as promised.
Client Experience and Relationship Management:
- Provide a seamless and professional experience to all clients, ensuring satisfaction at every stage.
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Handle changes, special requests, and last-minute adjustments with grace and efficiency.
- Gather and respond to post-event feedback to support continuous improvement.
Administrative and Operational Support:
- Maintain accurate client and event records in CRM and event management systems.
- Prepare weekly sales reports and forecasting updates.
- Assist in budgeting, invoicing, and payment collection as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event sales and management, preferably in hospitality, catering, or venue operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, event management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of banquet event orders (BEOs) and event planning best practices.
- Experience working in high-volume or luxury event settings.
- Familiarity with social media and marketing strategies for events.
