Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Universal Worker to join our team. This role is integral in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, memory care requirements, and hospice care. The Universal Worker will engage with clients in a meaningful way, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting them in daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for each client.
- Assist clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as necessary, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Engage clients in social activities and therapeutic exercises to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and document changes in clients' conditions or behaviors, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide first aid as needed and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care that meets the diverse needs of clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles and memory care strategies is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
