Resident and Patient Care:
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans to support the physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of residents and patients.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures, to provide safe and effective care.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes, implementing improvement initiatives as needed to maintain excellence in care delivery.
Family and Caregiver Support:
- Build trusting relationships with residents’ families and caregivers by maintaining open, honest, and empathetic communication.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for families, addressing their concerns and providing education to ensure peace of mind regarding their loved ones’ care.
Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and support the nursing staff to foster professional growth and job satisfaction.
- Coordinate ongoing education and training programs to ensure staff remain knowledgeable about the latest clinical practices and regulatory requirements.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive work culture that emphasizes collaboration, respect, and excellence.
Community and Care Partner Engagement:
- Serve as a key liaison with local hospitals, physicians, and other care partners to establish confidence in our facility’s services and capabilities.
- Represent the facility in community events and initiatives, strengthening relationships and promoting a positive reputation.
Operational Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Administrator and other leadership team members to develop and execute strategic goals.
- Manage nursing department budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, quality assurance programs, and risk management initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; advanced degree in nursing or healthcare administration a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing leadership / management experience, in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
