The Director of Dining Services at Country Meadows runs the overall campus dining program from selecting quality culinary and dining co-workers, managing budgets, and implementing seasonal menus. It’s like running a restaurant without the daunting restaurant hours! The Director of Dining Services is the key force driving their dining department providing quality service to our senior living clients with healthy meals and exceptional service.

Full time 8 : 30am - 5pm with every 4th weekend and holiday on

Director of Dining Services Responsibilities :

Interviews and hires prospective co-workers.

Responsible for continuing education and training of staff.

Coaches and mentors co-workers on a daily basis.

Evaluates all co-workers in department by conducting performance reviews.

Manages activities of department, including purchasing, inventory par levels, portion control, menu requirements, budget requirements, and maintaining above average scores on QMI's and mock surveys.

Provides residents with a dining experience that meets or exceeds their expectations.

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen related equipment, including preventative maintenance and keeping a pleasant dining room atmosphere.

Maintains temperature logs, daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning charts, and costing sheets to keep track of other department's need for food and supplies.

Director of Dining Services Requirements :

At least 3 years in the foodservice industry in a supervisory role.

High School diploma or GED preferred (culinary or hospitality degree preferred).

Serve Safe Certified or be willing to complete the National Serv Safe Course within six months.

Knowledge of how to manage a budget and complete a par inventory, and ordering procedures.

Knowledge of computerized menu and ordering software.

Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
