Location Manager - Merna/Westerville
Country Partners Cooperative is a full-service diversified agricultural cooperative in central Nebraska located in 20 communities, partnering with farmers and ranchers to accomplish more together.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
SUMMARY
The role of the Location Manager is to oversee the operations and profitability of the location, by performing following duties personally or through subordinate employees. Emphasis of location: Agronomy Retail, Energy, and Grain Handling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain a location organizational structure.
Coach, develop, and recruit the locations employees by using affective talent management techniques.
Is responsible for setting and communicating the hours of operation for the location. Ensure that hours are being operated to meet the customer’s needs.
Is responsible for in planning the daily work schedule.
Manages expense by approving and working with the budget of the location.
Works with the Region Manager in asset planning and budgeting.
Maintains a good working relationship with their peers, direct reports, and management.
Ensure proper inventory levels of Agronomy products are on hand and order or delegate responsibility to an employee to order products when needed to serve the customers.
Manage the location inventories for accuracy and reporting levels in a timely manner.
Oversees accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Ensures the quality of the location grain inventories.
Works with Region Manager on grain logistics.
Works with Transportation Director for ensure that products are shipped in a timely manner.
Oversees that all equipment and rolling stock is in good working order and properly maintained.
Is responsible for locations budget and executing the budget by managing the location’s P&L.
Fills in on an as needed basis when labor is short.
Assist in being the key liaison between the branch and management.
Provide good customer relations.
Maintain clean and customer friendly work environment.
Manages the locations Health, Safety, and Compliance Programs. Ensuring that the location is in compliance with OSHA, EPA, NEDEQ, DOT, and the Cooperatives Health and Safety Program.
Performs other activities as directed by their supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises the employees at the location. The Location Manager will conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and employee development; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, coaching, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
