About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Farm Maintenance Technician to handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for farm systems and equipment. This critical role ensures safe and efficient operations across our farms.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Tasks: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including electronic sow feeders, ventilation, plumbing, and heating systems.
- Farm Equipment Maintenance: Maintain farm equipment (tractor, mower, rear blade, etc.).
- Safety Protocols: Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Seasonal Tasks: Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow plowing, mowing, and weed trimming.
- Work Environment: Ensure a clean and organized work environment, assisting with tasks like pressure washing when needed.
- Inventory Management: Ability to maintain parts and tool inventory.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; 2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Electrical and Welding Experience: Highly desirable.
- Valid Driver's License: Required.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Physical Demands: Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and push up to 100 lbs.
