This role involves safely operating a tractor-trailer to deliver feed to designated farms, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport swine feed to our farms.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to guarantee the truck and trailer are in good working condition.
- Loading and unloading feed requires careful handling and attention to detail.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment, and promptly report any equipment malfunctions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and farm personnel to ensure seamless deliveries.
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork and maintain high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A with air brake endorsement.
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting of over 100 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willinness to work in and around manure and farm environments.
