What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Wash Specialist position at Country View Family Farms?
As a Trailer Wash Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our trailers are clean and ready to hit the road. This includes washing the interiors and exteriors of trailers, performing routine maintenance checks, and inspecting for any damages or defects. Follow all biosecurity guidelines to minimize risk of disease transmission from the trailer wash to the farms.
Wet mopping and clothes washing / drying to minimize risk of disease transmission from the trailer wash to the farms.
Assist in ordering supplies for the trailer wash, which include but are not limited to soaps, disinfectants, bathroom / cleaning supplies, parts.
Assist in maintaining running the separator and proper pit levels
Assisting in inspecting trailer cleanliness after the trailers get washed.
Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Ability to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively with other Team Members of the organization
Ability to perform basic Auditing / Inventory & ordering supplies.
Ability to calculate basic math skills using Metric & Standard units of measure.
Ability to apply common sense & understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Valid driver's license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, & feel sensation. The Team Member is occasionally required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The Team Member must regularly lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and / or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The Team Member is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
