Part-time Housekeeper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our facility, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning is preferred.

Responsibilities

· Clean all common areas and rooms by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing.

· Empty and sanitize trash containers in common use areas.

· Move, rearrange, and dust furniture and fixtures.

· Wipe and polish exterior apartment doors, polish brass doorknobs and other fixtures.

· Sanitize all common high touch areas.

· Deep clean all resident rooms weekly per the cleaning schedule

· Clean all needed spills and/or messes that arise during the shift

· Daily cleaning of common area restrooms.

· Assist with move in cleaning and move out cleaning of apartments.

· Collaborate with maintenance and/or Assistant Director for any building needs that need attention.

· Add new areas of cleaning needs to the weekly housekeeping schedule.

· Refill all cleaning chemicals as needed.

· Leave notes or communicate with Assistant Director for any new ordering needs.

· Follow all PPE protocols if they are in place during sickness.

· Monthly staff meetings for Inservice and continued education hours.

· Use the carpet scrubber for any carpet cleaning needs as needed.

· Use standard precautions to protect yourself and residents against infection.

· Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping management practices and custodial duties.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
