Transportation Manager
Country Visions Cooperative is continuing to grow and now searching for an experienced full-time Transportation Manager. This position will work with our Co-op management to oversee company vehicles, improving safety, expenses, driver training, regulation, documentation and vehicle procurement. This is not a dispatch management role.
This position will report directly to the VP of Agronomy but will work closely with the VP of Energy & Retail and the General Manager of Feed. This role is in-person and will be based out of our Main Office in Brillion, WI, but will regularly travel to other shops and company locations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration: estimated 70% of work time
- Oversee vehicle inspections and vehicle maintenance
- Work with team members to maintain all vehicle records
- Analyze fleet performance data and make suggested improvements
- Verify all annual DOT requirements
- Develop vehicle repair plans with company mechanics
- Work with tracking software on vehicles (GPS Track It, Razor)
- Purchase and utilize a fleet software/maintenance program to meet the needs of the Co-op
- Make sure all documentation and reporting meets required standards
- Help oversee and schedule vehicle inspections, maintenance and service
Leadership: estimated 15% of work time
- Improve proper utilization of all Co-op shops and vehicles
- Work with management and drivers to promote safety and improve CSA scores
- Establish KPIs to reduce unnecessary expenses
- Assist with asset utilization pertaining to vehicles
- Conduct internal vehicle audits with safety team
- Be an active member of the Safety Committee
- Establish vehicle maintenance schedules with managers and mechanics
- Responsible for regulatory compliance
Vehicle Procurement: estimated 7.5% of work time
- Work with management to procure vehicles
- Develop vehicle replacement needs and rotations
- Develop 3-year budget on vehicles
Training: estimated 7.5% of work time
- Assist in developing driver training on DOT, maintenance and other necessary topics
- Assist in training drivers on compliance, inspections, driving, safety and other necessary topics
Other duties as assigned by manager and executive leadership
HOURS & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
- Office out of the Brillion Main Office
- First shift schedule with some flexibility needed to meet the demands of the business
- Travel to other Co-op shops and locations as needed. Shop locations: Brillion, Chilton, Wrightstown, Plymouth, Ripon, Fond du Lac, Malone, Larsen and Valders
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Mechanical and maintenance aptitude
- Experience with State, Federal and DOT regulations and requirements
- Experience with CSA scores
- Experience utilizing vehicle tracking software and fleet software programs
- Safety-first mentality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel within CVCs location footprint
- Must possess a valid driver's license
