What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geoscience Summer Internship position at Countrymark Refining and Logistics?
Position Summary:
This internship is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to experience what CountryMark has to offer the in their field of interest. The Intern will receive assignments with objectives and milestones and will complete a presentation regarding their work and experience at the completion of their internship.
Interns are involved in education and training programs designed to provide students with professional experience in the furtherance of their education and training. Candidate will experience applying their classroom instruction to a real world employment setting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Gather and analyze various well and production data from various internal and external sources.
* Input and calibrate various data into geologic software (Petra).
* Correlate well logs and develop maps and cross section utilizing computer workstation.
* Analyze and integrate data to identity areas of opportunity.
* Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures governing the handling of confidential information.
* Assume personal and professional responsibilities for his/her actions and activities.
* Maintain professional relationship with supervisor, fellow employees and others.
* Prepare for and utilize conferences and other opportunities of learning afforded in the company.
* Be consistent and punctual in submission of all work assignments to their supervisor.
* Provide the faculty coordinator with periodic progress reports.
Minimum Requirements:
GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
Junior or Senior
Coursework in Stratigraphy and/or Petroleum Geology
