What are the responsibilities and job description for the Petroleum Engineering Summer Internship position at Countrymark Refining and Logistics?
Position Summary:
This internship is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to experience what CountryMark has to offer the in the petroleum engineering field. The Intern will receive assignments with objectives and milestones and will complete a presentation regarding their assigned work and CountryMark experience at the conclusion of their internship.
Interns are involved in education and training programs designed to provide students with professional experience in the furtherance of their education and training and are academically oriented for their benefit. Internships assist students in reaching their educational goals by providing them an opportunity to augment classroom instruction with exposure to a real-world employment setting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Collect and organize data related to downhole well failures.
* Observe and assist repairs to downhole well equipment.
* Analyze and make recommendations to improve daily operations.
* Utilize XSPOC to optimize pumping conditions on producing wells.
* Communicate project requirements internally and to vendors.
* Work closely with engineers and operations in developing designs of production equipment.
* Support execution of construction activities as required.
* Support compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate and present the status of assigned tasks and projects.
Minimum Requirements:
* 3.0 / 4.0 GPA
* Junior or Senior Class Level
* Petroleum Engineering Major
