Job Type: Part time, must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays

Job Summary: The Nursery and L&G store team member works primarily in the nursery and lawn & garden department. Working as a team, the nursery store team member will help with the overall maintenance of the nursery yard and all of the nursery stock. Maintaining the nursery yard and the various L&G displays will be another one of the primary roles and tasks for the nursery store team member. Educating and providing additional information to customers will also be a primary function. Secondary tasks include merchandising and store maintenance.

Position Outline: The nursery and L&G store team member is a key position during the busy spring and summer seasons. Nursery yard and plant maintenance are another one of the main tasks for the Nursery and L&G store team member. Helping and educating customers with the plants and L&G products are another role the Nursery and L&G store team member fulfills. The essential job functions include (but are not limited to) are:

· Provide top-notch CountryMax helpful service, including carrying out any and all products for customers and patrons

· After proper training, the Nursery and L&G store team member may need to operate Point of Sale terminals and handle financial transactions

· Consistently provide plant care and maintenance including watering, pruning and plant rotation

· Design and create appealing nursery stock display to quickly move nursery stock information

· Educate and provide information for customers in relation to the nursery and L&G departments

Position Requirements:

The nursery and L&G store team member will primarily work in the nursery yard and in the L&G department

· Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, but not required

· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

· A basic Knowledge of plants and nursery stock is also preferred but not required

· Must be able to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours or during the store’s operating hours

· Helpful service and keen social skills are a must

· Ability to work as a team or individually in a retail atmosphere

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
