Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care for our furry friends. Your responsibilities will include assisting with animal handling, providing basic grooming, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and comfort of our kennel facility.
Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to the veterinary team
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners
Experience:
- Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior
- Familiarity with pet sitting or pet care practices
- Strong customer service skills
Skills:
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Knowledge of proper animal restraint techniques
- Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
This is a part-time morning position. Hours vary depending on how many animals we have at the time. You are required to work Saturday - Wednesday. You will have Thursday and Friday off.
