Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician provides support to the facility by performing all necessary maintenance related functions safely. Responsibilities include; troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment and company assets.
Essential duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete schedule preventative maintenance on time and monitor results.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine parts and repairs needed.
- Communicate all problems, repairs, solutions and recommendations to Maintenance Coordinator, Supervisors and employees affected.
- Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic and troubleshooting.
- Install and align new equipment or move old equipment when needed.
- Work as a team with other Maintenance Technicians to accomplish workload.
- Look up components and parts in electrical/mechanical manuals.
- Maintain and improve knowledge of equipment and machinery.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or Valid Journeyman card as a maintenance Mechanic - Preferred
- 3-5 years of previous experience in plant maintenance or machine repair; pneumatic, electrical, mechanical or industrial skills – Required
- Advanced knowledge of electronic components, PLC controls, ACDC drives and motors, servo drives and motors, and sensors.
- Have a self-motivated, proactive and positive “Can DO” attitude – Required
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Advanced math skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Detail oriented, organized and works with a sense of urgency
- Must be able to work additional hours as needed
