We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm. Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of the farm, including crop production and animal care.
- Supervise and train farm staff in best practices for animal handling, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Oversee the health and welfare of livestock, ensuring proper feeding, care, and veterinary attention as needed.
- Maintain farm machinery and equipment, performing repairs as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
- Implement effective farming techniques to maximize yield while adhering to sustainability standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of feed, supplies, and equipment; order as needed.
- Maintain records related to farm operations, including livestock health, crop production data, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for necessary materials and services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in farm management or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices; experience with equine care is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and operating farm machinery; forklift certification is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairing equipment is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
