MEMBER SERVICE SPECIALIST / TELLER

Department: Member Service
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5 PM (Plus some Saturdays 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM)
Report To: Member Service Supervisor
Status: Full-Time
Primary Role: Ensure members consistently receive exceptional member service that is in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and credit union established policies and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
- Promptly answer all telephone calls and, if necessary, forward to appropriate team member
- Cheerfully greet members immediately when they enter the credit union
- Provide consistently accurate, professional, courteous and friendly member service
- Handle all member inquiries and transactions accurately and efficiently, including: In-Person inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments; Mailed deposits and payments; Night Drop deposits and payments; Phone inquiries and transfers; Setting up payroll distributions, ACH distributions, and Automated Funds Transfers; Issuing Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders; Processing miscellaneous transactions (Cash Advances, Postage Sales, Ticket Sales, etc.)
- Recommend products and services to members based on their unique needs and financial goals.
- Responsibly manage, secure, account for, and balance funds in cash drawer daily.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Make recommendations to supervisor for enhancing service to members and/or implementing innovative new programs, services, procedures and operations.
- Miscellaneous typing, filing, and other clerical duties
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
General Expectations:
- Complying with all applicable state and federal regulations
- Complying with all credit union policies and procedures
- Keeping all member business and CCCU security matters strictly confidential
- Maintaining positive working relationships with all members of the CCCU team
- Ensuring all interactions with members are prompt, cheerful, proficient, discreet, diplomatic and leave the members feeling glad they interacted with you
- Make sure credit union resources are used prudently
- Promoting and portraying the credit union and all credit union products and services in a positive manner
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
