Job Summary
CCM seeks passionate and skilled adjunct instructors to teach American Sign Language (ASL) courses. We are looking for individuals committed to fostering a rich and immersive learning environment for students to develop their ASL proficiency and cultural understanding.
All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and following the course description and course outline established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional responsibilities may include participation in departmental initiatives, such as assessment, and responding to requests regarding grades, grade submissions, and other course-related content.

Qualifications - Education
A minimum of a Master’s degree in ASL or related field from a regionally accredited institution. Priority will be given to instructors with a background in ASL linguistics.
Qualifications - Experience
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred.
Qualifications - Skills
Native or near-native fluency in ASL. Demonstrated knowledge of language teaching and learning methodologies and techniques. Familiarity with Blackboard and other instructional technologies desired.
