Job Summary
As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and preparing quality deli products in a grocery store setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform opening and/or closing duties of the Deli
- Take and serve customer orders in a courteous, prompt, and efficient manner
- Slice, cut, weigh, and price merchandise
- Prepare salads, sandwiches, hot and cold lunches
- Operate and clean deli equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate cash register and handle various forms of payment
- Comply with department and State health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Assume additional duties as needed
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers
- Knowledge of retail math for handling transactions and calculating change
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
