County Fair is accepting applications for part-time self-checkout attendants with friendly smiles and positive attitudes.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service - greet all customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude
- Assist customers with questions or self-checkout issues
- Ensure customers properly scan, bag, and pay for items
- Correct any errors or malfunctions with self-checkout machines
- Watch for potential theft or suspicious behavior to prevent loss
- Keep machines clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct to correct recipient
- Scan grocery orders accurately and efficiently. Will require lifting at times
- Accurately and efficiently operate all functions of a cash register and handle various forms of payment
- Verify ID prior to any tobacco, alcohol, or lottery sale
- Assist with bagging
- Perform general cleaning duties
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Be 18 years of age
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Be honest, dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Have a clean and neat appearance
- Be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
