Maintenance/Bus Driver

Maintenance Person / Bus Driver County Line School District Fulltime, 12 month position We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join the County Line District as a maintenance person / bus driver. The dual role position involves performing general maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of school facilities and equipment, as well as operating a school bus to transport students safely to and from school and related activities. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Perform routine inspections and maintenance on school buildings, grounds, and equipment. Conduct minor repairs in such areas as plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC. Assist in the upkeep of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, and common areas. Assist in maintaining outdoor areas including landscaping, playgrounds, and parking lots. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities. Bus Driving Operate a school bus over designated routes, adhering to established schedules. Safely transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips. Maintain order and discipline among students while on the bus. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and operational readiness. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Arkansas driver’s license with a clean driving record. Possession of or ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License with a school bus endorsement. Previous maintenance experience preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying 70 pounds. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and the community. Knowledge of safety procedure and regulations related to both maintenance and bus driving. Working Conditions Fulltime position with hours aligned to the school schedule. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special events or maintenance needs. Exposure to various weather conditions while performing maintenance duties.
