What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aging & Disability Resource Center Supervisor position at County of Adams?

Responsible for the performance of the Resource Center meeting expectations for quality and is consistent with the mission set out for the Aging and Disability Resource Center.
Oversees day-to-day operations of the Aging and Disability Resource Center.
Provides functional supervision for the staff of the Aging and Disability Resource Center, including making work assignments, arranging training, and overseeing performance.
Report to and assist the Aging and Disability Resource Center’s oversight committee in carrying out its duties.
Provide orientation, training and ongoing education for staff and advisory committee members so they can effectively carry out their responsibilities.
Provides information, education, advocacy and support regarding dementia to family members, friends, and caregivers.
Promote a dementia friendly community by presenting programs and education to public groups and local businesses.
Participate in program development, marketing and outreach activities. Represent the ADRC at public information fairs, in community advisory groups and in agency work groups/committees as requested.
Performs other related functions and duties as assigned or required.

Thorough knowledge of County and department policies and procedures to include emergency and inclement weather policies; ability to prioritize and manage multiple, concurrent projects; attention to detail and ability to effectively organize time and anticipate, plan and successfully respond to changing circumstances; ability to assist and counsel clients; knowledge of community resources and public programs and benefits; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ability to operate and use standard office equipment; knowledge and ability to use standard office and position-specific software; ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other departments and the general public. Demonstrate competence related to confidentiality, professional practice standards, knowledge of dementia, research findings, new evidence-based interventions and other innovations for people living in the community.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
