What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Call Transportation Driver position at County of Adams?
- Complete daily inspection of vehicle(s). Schedule and have completed routine maintenance and repairs of vehicle(s).
- Complete the daily transportation reports, per trip, indicating mileage, time, number of passengers, disabilities of passengers, etc.
- May be asked to assist in transporting clients outside regular routes, to appointments, stores, recreational activities, etc.
- Report any issues or problems encountered in transporting clients. Complete incident reports as necessary.
- May assist in returning clients from group homes, adult family homes, and inpatient hospital settings following placement, detention or commitment.
- Follow pertinent traffic laws and County transportation and safety policies, including accident reporting.
- Attend pertinent in-service training events regarding passenger safety, wheelchair lift operation, defensive driving, confrontation avoidance and de-escalation, individual behavioral intervention, etc.
- Responsible for the strict maintenance of client confidentiality; making suggestions to improve the operations of the transportation program; contributing to a productive, harmonious and cooperative work environment. Must adhere to Code of Conduct in maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
