DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Primary responsibility is the accounting for all program transactions funded through the Social Services revenue streams. The employee's main objective is ensuring the overall operations and financial management of the programs to ensure meeting all Federal, State and County mandated requirements, ensuring the timely and accurate reimbursement to providers, consultants and county staff for services rendered to County residents and the monitoring of sub-recipients to assure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with one-hour lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or
- One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Blair County. If no eligible candidates who live within Blair County apply for this position, candidates who reside in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, and or Huntingdon counties will be considered.
