About the Role:
The County of Blair is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Juvenile Probation Supervisor. This role involves supervising and evaluating court officers, reviewing and distributing work assignments, and ensuring compliance with Court practices and department policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior-level administrator in the juvenile probation department, overseeing the supervision and evaluation of court officers.
- Develop and implement effective case plans, monitor progress, and provide guidance to probation officers.
- Contribute to the development of strategic objectives, research new programs, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, sociology, social work, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of experience in juvenile justice, with a working knowledge of courts, corrections, and/or law enforcement.
- Clearances: Act 33, Act 42, and Act 114; valid Pennsylvania driver's license without infractions.
