Responsibilities
- Meet with children and families to assess their needs and risk of harm.
- Identify needs and make referrals for medical, psychological, and educational care.
- Gather and maintain accurate information in emotionally charged environments and prepare reports accordingly.
- Prepare court documents and testify in court hearings.
- Work with families to develop treatment plans and encourage them to achieve their goals.
- Screen reports of child abuse, neglect, and dependency and assign cases to workers.
- Cover intake of community reports and perform other assigned duties.
