The Recruiter supports the County’s recruiting activities by researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the County. Under the general direction of the Assistant HR Director-Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter will:

- Facilitates all phases of the recruitment process
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the needs of the organization and industry standards
- Connect with active and passive candidates, build relationships with candidates through consistent communications
- Provide initial assessment of candidate qualifications through resume review and phone interviews
- Partner with and coach hiring managers on the best recruiting practices and policies and provide guidance, support, and recommendations on candidates to interview
- Develop a strong working relationship with hiring managers with an emphasis on being customer focused and having high standards of delivery
- Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and HR Compensation staff to identify and recommend salary ranges, start dates and other pertinent details
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Vet potential employees? credentials
- Assist with new hire paperwork, onboarding, new hire check-ins and other retention related tasks
- Attend and participate in local job fairs and recruiting events
- Develop and grow network of recruiting sources including local colleges, job training programs, professional recruiters and staff agencies
- Responsible for recruiting metrics and regular talent management reports
- Assist the HR team with other tasks and projects as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- At least 3 years of full cycle recruiting experience
- Demonstrated computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Takes initiative to ensure a high-quality candidate experience
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven self-starter with the ability to make decisions, to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines and to use independent judgment
