EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responsibilities Include: Assist animal caretaking and veterinary staffClean cages, feed and exercise all animals housed in the shelterObserve, record and discuss animal health and behaviorAssist with animal training and enrichment programsCleans dishes and folds laundryOn a limited basis; support the veterinarian and veterinary technician in surgery preparation, health checks, vaccinations, and microchippingSort and store donationsPrepare adoption packets and data entry Must be able to commit to a 37.5 hour work week for a minimum of 11 weeks to include weekends and holidays as scheduled.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Heavy Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
