What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stormwater Management Engineering Intern position at County of DuPage?
We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as an Intern within the DuPage County Stormwater Management Department.
Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois driver's license.
Preferred candidate will be a full-time student enrolled in engineering at an ABET accredited school.
A pre-employment background check is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Use of arm and /or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than for sedentary work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will include a variety of office and field work. Applicant must be able to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions. This position will experience periodic interaction with members of the public.
This position is eligible for Paid Leave hours at a proportional rate based on the number of hours regularly scheduled to work.

This position will also assist with drainage inspections, surveying, and mapping of stormwater infrastructure countywide.Requires the applicant to be actively taking undergraduate or graduate level courses at an accredited institution to obtain an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree, or be a recent graduate (within past year).Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois driver's license.
