Responsibilities Include:
- Assists with application process of homestead and non-homestead applications.
- Prepares and inputs transfer declarations for Illinois Department of Revenue sales ratio studies.
- Assists with Board of Review and Property Tax Appeal Board appeals and Board of Review actions.
- Trains staff on operations of the Supervisor of Assessments Office.
- Answers staff questions.
- Assists taxpayers/appellants with application/appeal process.
- Clarifies homestead, non-homestead, appeals and transfer declarations to taxpayers/appellants.
- Answers phones, works at the front desk assisting taxpayer/appellants
- Generates reports from the real estate assessment/tax system.
Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
Completion of an Associate’s Degree;
Two (2) years of experience in the assessment/tax field
A pre-employment background check is required.
