Job Purpose and Objectives:
Performs routine manual work in the operation of light and heavy equipment for loading and transporting materials.
Essential Functions:
- Operates equipment such as a tandem truck or loader in the transportation of materials
- Performs routine vehicle maintenance
- Operates tractors, mowers, and other related vehicles
- Mows grass, hauls soil, sand, rock, gravel, and asphalt
- Loads materials and performs work-related manual tasks as required
- Spreads granular surfacing on county roads and bridges
- Enforces and maintains compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
- Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary
- Complies with all organizational and departmental policies and procedures
- Operates all job-related equipment, machinery, tools, and other aids as required or needed
- Protects and maintains any confidential information, whether oral, written, or electronic
