Essential Functions
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As an Animal Caretaker (Part-Time), you will:
- Ensuring cleanliness by maintaining cages, runs, and shelter equipment in compliance with state regulations.
- Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and well-being of shelter animals.
- Administering vaccinations, medications, and diagnostic tests as needed.
- Assisting with or performing euthanasia when necessary, following shelter protocol.
- Transporting animals to veterinarians, events, and other locations.
- Handling janitorial and grounds maintenance tasks to keep the shelter in top shape.
- Supporting public interactions by assisting with inquiries and processing paperwork.
Typical Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years
- Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
