Essential Functions

What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities

As a Landfill Convenience Site Attendant, you will:

• Operate trash compactor and assist waste haulers
• Provide traffic control and ensure citizens dispose of waste in designated areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of the convenience site and surrounding grounds, including litter control and basic snow/ice removal
• Help prevent illegal dumping and monitor compliance with regulations
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and operate small engine equipment (e.g., leaf blowers, trimmers)
• Assist residents with off-loading vehicles and E-Cycle collections
• Interact professionally with the public, providing assistance as needed

Typical Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to follow specific instructions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts
