Essential Functions
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As a Landfill Convenience Site Attendant, you will:
- Operate trash compactor and assist waste haulers
- Provide traffic control and ensure citizens dispose of waste in designated areas
- Maintain the cleanliness of the convenience site and surrounding grounds, including litter control and basic snow/ice removal
- Help prevent illegal dumping and monitor compliance with regulations
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and operate small engine equipment (e.g., leaf blowers, trimmers)
- Assist residents with off-loading vehicles and E-Cycle collections
- Interact professionally with the public, providing assistance as needed
Typical Qualifications

- Ability to follow specific instructions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
