Essential Functions
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As a Scorekeeper, you will:
- Operating score clocks during youth and adult sports leagues and tournaments.
- Accurately keeping game scores in the official scorebook.
- Assisting with game setup, tear-down, and maintaining facility cleanliness between games.
- Filling out incident or accident report forms when necessary.
- Enforcing league and facility rules to ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.
- Communicating with athletes, families, and staff to provide excellent service and act as a liaison between the Parks & Recreation department and the public.
Typical Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum age of 15 years old.
- A basic knowledge of sports like volleyball, basketball, softball, and baseball, including rules and regulations.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evening, and holidays.
