What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUPERVISING AGRICULTURAL/STANDARDS SPECIALIST position at County of Fresno?
Pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 3, Section 105 and the California Food and Agriculture Code Section 2106, this position requires the following education:
Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in agricultural, biological, chemical, or physical sciences or any major approved by the California Secretary of Agriculture that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system
OR
Possession of a bachelor’s degree that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system with a minimum of thirty (30) semester units, or equivalent, in one or any combination of the following disciplines: agricultural sciences, biological sciences, chemical sciences, physical sciences, mathematics and/or statistics.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time, paid work experience equivalent to that gained with the County of Fresno as an Agricultural/Standards Specialist, including experience gained at the provisional level.License: Possession of the following eight (8) valid licenses issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture:
Pesticide Regulation
Investigation and Environmental Monitoring
Integrated Pest Management
Commodity Regulation
Pest Prevention and Plant Regulation
Weight Verification
Measurement Verification
Transaction and Product Verification
OR
Possession of a valid Deputy County Sealer of Weights and Measures or Deputy County Agricultural Commissioner license issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
Possession of a valid Class “C” driver’s license, or equivalent.
Possession of a Class “A” driver’s license, or equivalent, may be required.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Salary : $81,900 - $104,520
