Goodhue County Health & Human Services is seeking qualified applicants for an Accounting Supervisor.

The purpose of this position is to provide overall HHS financial leadership, staff training, and manage day-to-day financial, and accounting and financial operations of GCHHS. It is to ensure the Goodhue County Health and Human Services’ (GCHHS) fiscal integrity through the development of the departments’ budgets and participation in the Goodhue County budget processes. The position requires consistent application of Federal, State, County and HHS policies related to the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, collections, accounts receivable and other systems.

This position will provide financial, accounting and budgetary expertise to all GCHHS departments. The responsibilities will include all financial and budgetary duties and developing, preparing and maintaining budgets, and creating detailed reports and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college, with a major in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field, and three years of full-time paid professional experience in financial management, analysis, or a related professional field.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following: local government finance laws, grant management or procurement processes, three years of supervisory or management experience, and experience managing audits or financial reporting.

Compensation/Benefits

County employees receive competitive pay and a generous benefit offering. The Accounting Supervisor is compensated at salary grade 113 ($75,316.80 - $116,729.60) and starting annual compensation is $75,316.80 - $82,846.40.
