Goodhue County Health & Human Services is seeking qualified applicants for a Children’s Mental Health Social Worker.
The Children’s Mental Health Social Worker position provides mental health case management services to children who meet Minnesota State Statute requirements for severe emotional disturbance (SED), to gain access to needed medical, social, educational, vocational, financial, and other necessary services as they relate to the child’s mental health needs.
Coordinate referrals and engage in ongoing collaboration with family community support services as identified in the community support plan for the child. Meet with the child at a frequency based on the child’s mental health need.
Actively participate in discharge planning for the child and, to the extent possible, coordinate the services necessary to assure a smooth transition, when the child is leaving a residential placement, or inpatient hospital for mental health services. Coordinate and facilitate quarterly team meetings with the child and their family. Advocate for child to resolve crises and reduce barriers.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related human services field and two (2) years of full-time work experience preferred as a Social Worker in a public human services agency and/or a private community services agency that contracts services with a public human services agency.
Or
A Master's Degree in Social Work or related field may substitute for up to one year of required Social Worker experience.
A valid Minnesota driver’s license.
Required Social Work experience must have occurred after receipt of Bachelor's Degree.
Compensation and Benefits
County employees receive competitive pay and a generous benefit offering. This position is compensated at grade 112 ($71,718 - $111,196) on the County pay scale. Staring compensation is $71,718 per year.
