What are the responsibilities and job description for the LICENSE REAL ESTATE APPRAISER position at County of Greenville?
Conducts routine property inspections, performs basic level appraisals of real property. Performs field inspections to collect data specific to each property; measures, sketches, and/or photographs new property. Additions and renovations. Uses department procedures, compiles sales and current data to establish fair market values. Verifies and updates property records for errors; reviews information and research for appeals and appeal board hearings. Should also be able to assist property owners, tax representatives, and the general public with routine tax-related matters; provide answers in regard to valuation methods, the appeal process, parcel ownership, and mapping. Performs other related duties as required. High school diploma or GED required, with some vocational or technical training in residential appraisal; supplemented by one year of experience in property valuation, tax assessment, customer service, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Driver's License and an active South Carolina Real Estate Appraiser's License in good standing. or Residential Mass Appraiser's License.
