Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will facilitate the deliberative functions of the Board of Commissioners; represent the Board to constituents and to other organizations; maintain the flow of information between the Board and County Administration; and facilitate resolution of requests for information or assistance from the Board.
The incumbent in this position will support the Board of Commissioners and the Chair (21 Commissioners total). Responsibilities include oversight of preparation and distribution of materials for Board and committee meetings; coordination of FOIA request for the Board; coordination of and ensuring resolution of Commissioners’ requests for information or assistance; coordination of travel and conference arrangements; preparation of meeting agendas and minutes; and provision of other various forms of administrative support.
Must be willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend Board and committee meetings and to represent the Board to varied internal and external audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Public Administration, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or other relevant discipline, combined with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in local government or non-profit administration, or administration of another organization with a governing Board and an executive or administrator, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Paid Time Off
