As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in our Community Clinical Services Division. The Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Nurse will work along-side an Advanced Practitioner to provide PrEP services to clients in need. Job duties include, STI testing and education, medication adherence, case management, and insurance navigation. The PrEP Nurse will also work in Kent County Health Department’s STI Clinic with a team of nurses and participate in community outreach activities throughout the year.
$31.97 - A Step: Associate Degree in Nursing with 36 months or less experience as a Registered Nurse.
$33.15 - B Step: Associate Degree in Nursing with 37 months to 60 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
$34.61 - C Step: Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 36 months or less of experience as a Registered Nurse; or Associate Degree in Nursing with 61 months or more of experience as a Registered Nurse.
$35.74 - D Step: Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 37 months or more experience as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a National League of Nursing accredited nursing institution and current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
Experience in testing and treating sexually transmitted diseases and HIV desired.
Computer literacy, including working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, database management required.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to be highly efficient while ensuring attention to detail is required.
Must interact positively and professionally with internal and external customers, and members of the general public from widely divergent cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Ability to provide client service from a culturally aware and client driven perspective and deliver excellent customer service to all clients while following HIPAA guidelines is essential.
Must be able to provide services to clients in a variety of County locations and possess a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license and have access to regular transportation.
