LIFEGUARD
General Summary
Under the supervision of the Facility Manager responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by educating, preventing, and responding to emergencies and providing first aid care as needed.
Essential Functions
- Recognize and respond according to training in emergencies
- Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
- Inspects the facility on a regular basis and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor.
- Provide minor first aid care in non-emergency situations.
- Complete records and reports as required.
- Participate in regular in-service training sessions.

- Complete other duties as assigned

Employment Qualifications
Education: None required, high school diploma preferred.
Experience: None required, one season of lifeguarding preferred.
Other Requirements: Current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications. Decision-making skills and public relations skills preferred.

Walks over uneven terrain to monitor facility and provide customer supervision.
Ability to climb several flights of stairs to monitor slide usage and provide supervision.

Exposure to environmental allergens such as grass, weeds and pollens.
Exposure to water purifying chemicals.
