Job Purpose:
Performs confidential specialized administrative duties specific to Economic Development such as: reception, clerical duties, customer service recordkeeping. Records actions and provides accurate transcription of minutes. Prepares agendas and supporting material for meetings. Provides professional customer service, has organizational skills, utilizes problem solving skills and communicates effectively with supervisors, co-workers and citizens.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Receives, records, prepares, files, facilitates both operational and project specific purchase orders, various correspondence, memorandums, reports, requisitions, forms and records retention.
-Assists the Economic Development Director in coordinating semi-annual events, preparing budget documents, monitoring budget expenditures, incentive documentation coordination, cataloging the economic development updates for Council, Administration and Central SC, preparing and submitting County Council Agenda items.
-Create and manage calendar appointments for the Director of Economic Development and the Project Manager. Interacts and communicates regularly with groups both internal and external to the County. Maintains inventory of all office furniture, equipment and office supplies.
-Performs general administrative duties as required, including typing reports and correspondence, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents, sending and receiving faxes, answering the telephone, establishing and maintaining filing systems.
-Orders office supplies; maintains copier supplies and maintenance.
-Provides other routine clerical support, including but not limited to processing daily mail, copying and filing documents, sending and receiving faxes, entering computer data and ordering office supplies.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, with 1 to 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
