Job description:
Request, receive, review and process various documents for attorneys to include investigative reports and criminal records, and school truancy petitions. Draft and clock summons and petitions with allotted time frame. Set court dates, prepare court dockets and court orders. Act as a liaison between DJJ, school representatives, DSS, DMH and other involved parties. Perform other similar duties as required.
Additional Job Requirements:
Must be a Notary Public and be or become NCIC certified. Must have excellent communication, computer knowledge and typing skills. Must be extremely organized and able to multi-task under deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Experience as a paralegal or in an administrative support position with a Solicitor's office or law firm.
Equivalent Education, Training and Experience:
Associates Degree, preferably in Paralegal Studies or Criminal Justice. Also a minimum of two or more years experience preferably in a legal environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.87 - $20.38 per hour
