Conducts needs assessments to identify educational courses or activities and improve employee work productivity. Develops training plans to meet identified needs for Patient Access or Patient Financial Services staff and other staff involved in governmental medical assistance applications and patient access programs.Develops training programs for health services staff, including medical care programs administered in the various units of the department, staff's role in meeting the objectives of these programs, and interviewing skills for interacting with patients and their families.Develops and conducts training programs for new health services staff assigned to financial screening and patient access tasks.Develops, implements, reviews, revises, and maintains training programs designed to inform and update departmental managers and staff with the most up-to-date health care program information to enforce and support their knowledge of eligibility requirements and procedures and improve their work skills.Develops and utilizes evaluation studies and measurement tools to aid in assessing the effectiveness and modification of training programs, and in improving their quality in determining additional training needs.Identifies, organizes and refines subject matter to be taught in training programs to assure maximum effectiveness.Participates in administrative studies, audits or research projects as assigned.
