PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsibilities include receiving correct payment from the public for pool entry and concession sales, checking passes, preparing hot and cold food and beverages for sale, cleaning the snack bar and assigned pool areas, answering the phone, participating in assigned roles for emergency action plans, providing excellent customer service, enforcing pool entry rules, answering questions from the public.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving correct payment for entry into the city swimming pool
Making accurate change
Checking pool passes
Properly preparing and selling concession menu items.
Maintaining a clean work environment
Provide excellent customer service
Complete opening and closing duties as instructed
Answer customer questions and respond to their concerns
Enforce pool entry rules
Ensure a safe work environment for co-workers and the public
Respond to emergencies in accordance with emergency action plans
Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to add and subtract correctly
Willingness to learn how to operate a cash register and credit card reader
Ability to follow and adhere to all food handling guidelines for food preparation, serving, and facility and equipment cleaning, for all items on the menu
Ability to communicate effectively and politely with co-workers, supervisors and the public
Ability to follow emergency action plan training and respond within the scope of their training
Willingness to work assigned schedule, follow pool policies related to attendance, absence and substitutions
COMPENSATION:
Starting hourly rate: $9.35
