Summer Program dates are June 9, 2025 - July 25, 2025, Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays.
Training dates are June 2 - 6, 2025, various times and locations.
Instructs youth ages 5-12 and may supervise staff in specialized recreational activities including but not limited to athletic sports, aquatics, culture and the arts, special interests, and inclusive recreation. Demonstrates thorough knowledge and skill in a particular specialty, instructs and applies techniques for a specialized activity or for inclusion in an activity; organizes and conducts activity and lesson plans for program participants of various age groups and abilities in a youth camp environment.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Training & Experience: (1) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, one or more years of college preferred, and either completion of a formal course of instruction or training and at least 2 years of experience in the specialized recreational activity. (Present or submit evidence of training or experience, e.g. official transcripts, resume with references, certification of proficiency in an area specified above, records of any voluntary experience in a specialty.)
TB Clearance: (Prior to Interview)
Vehicle & License Requirement: Must have a vehicle and a valid motor vehicle driver's license (equivalent to State of Hawaii Type 3).

- Special Requirement For Program Specialists assigned to: Pools and Beach – Standard CPR/First Aid AND Lifeguarding certificates. (Must present certificates at interview.)
